My Mission
At Pete's Astronomy Corner, my mission is to spread God's evident glory in His creation. The ordered structure of the universe, from the micro to the macro, makes it evident that what we are living is not a product of chance. Without a cause, there is no effect; without a creator, there is no creation. Romans 1:20 says, "For since the creation of the world his invisible attributes—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, because they are understood through what has been made. So people are without excuse." Through His creation, His divinity and power can be witnessed. My goal is to portray that power in His creation through astrophotography.
I believe that the Bible is God's inerrant Word; it is a collection of true stories that make up HIS story of a plan for mankind. In the beginning, Adam and Eve walked with God the Father. But having free will and being tempted by the serpent, they disobeyed God and fell from perfection, losing the direct connection they had with Him. Now, through the Holy sacrifice of His one and only son, Jesus Christ, Yeshua, who is fully God and fully man, we can achieve salvation and restore a connection with God. God gave us free will because He wants us to choose him, not because He needs us to. The gift of salvation is available to anybody who is willing to call on the name of Jesus and repent from their sin. He wants us to partake in this offering so that we can one day reside with Him in eternity, and no, it will NEVER get boring.
